    Three-Day Sanskrit Short Film Training Workshop Concludes Successfully in Sarvajanik University, Surat

    Surat (Gujarat) [India], March 27: A three-day Sanskrit Short Film Training Workshop was successfully organized by the Gujarat Rajya Sanskrit Board, Department of Education, Government of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, in collaboration with Sarvajanik University and Chunilal Gandhi Vidyabhavan, Surat, from 23rd to 25th March 2026 at Sarvajanik University, Surat.

    The workshop was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of Shri Himanjay Palliwal, Chairman, Gujarat Rajya Sanskrit Board (Chief Guest), Shri Shrish Deopujari, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, Sanskrit Bharati (Guest of Honour), and Shri Kailash H. Hakim, Social Worker and President, FOSTTA (Special Guest). The programme received valuable support from Shri Ashish Vakil, President, Sarvajanik University, and Prof. Kiran Pandya, Provost, Sarvajanik University, whose encouragement contributed significantly to its success.

    The workshop included 15 intensive sessions conducted by seven distinguished experts, covering key aspects of filmmaking such as scripting, acting, editing, music, and overall film production. The resource persons included Sanskar Desai, Dr Channabasavaswamy Hiremath, Vihang Mehta, Narayan Parvathy Parasuram, Dr Sandeep Joshi, Dr Anand Pandya, and Yuvraj Kumar.

    Participants from various parts of the country, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, and West Bengal, actively took part in practical sessions such as acting for camera, solo performance, scripting exercises, and film screening discussions. A special session on the International Sanskrit Short Film Festival (ISSFF) further inspired participants to explore new creative possibilities in Sanskrit cinema.

    The workshop concluded in the presence of Shri Anil Shah, Social Worker and CEO, Venus Jewel, and Shri Yuvraj Kumar, Actor and Director. Mayank Trivedi, Chairman of the Local Advisory Committee, delivered the welcome address, while Dr Meeta Vansadia, Director, Chunilal Gandhi Vidyabhavan, expressed appreciation to all dignitaries, experts, organizers, and participants.

    The programme highlighted the growing relevance of Sanskrit in contemporary creative fields and encouraged innovative storytelling through cinema.
